We're Adam and Jagna. We fell for the slow rhythm of Gallura years ago and created Beach Base to share the version of Sardinia we know — quiet, simple but modern, and just far enough off the tourist trail.
We're not a hotel — we're two apartments in a small condominium, kept to a high standard because we live in them when we're here. Everything you'd expect (fast Wi-Fi, espresso machine, heated floors, a wine fridge) plus a few small things you wouldn't.
Our approach
We believe in giving guests enough to feel at home and enough privacy to forget they're guests. Self check-in, a short welcome note, and we're a message away if you need us.
We're also realistic about what matters: a comfortable bed, a beautiful view, somewhere to cook if you want to, and real advice about where to eat.
The closest airport is Olbia (OLB), about 75 minutes east. Alghero (AHO) is 55 minutes west. Both are well served from the UK and Europe in summer.
By air
Olbia Costa Smeralda (OLB)75 min drive. Direct summer flights from London, Milan, Frankfurt, Paris, Warsaw and more.
Alghero Fertilia (AHO)55 min drive. Ryanair and easyJet seasonal routes from the UK and Europe.
Cagliari Elmas (CAG)2h 45 min drive. A useful fallback when Olbia and Alghero are full or pricier — Cagliari has more year-round routes.
By car
We strongly recommend renting a car — Sardinia is best explored on your own schedule and most of the best beaches and restaurants aren't on public transport routes.
If you'd rather not drive, there's a public bus stop a short walk from the apartments connecting to Badesi village and the beach — but expect limited frequency, and a car still gets you most places faster.
By ferry
Porto Torres (40 minutes away) receives ferries from Genoa, Barcelona, Toulon and Civitavecchia. A great option if you're bringing your own car or motorbike.
Santa Teresa di Gallura (45 minutes east) runs the daily Corsica crossing to and from Bonifacio — a 50-minute hop, ideal for a day trip or onward travel.
Check-in
Self check-in from 4 pm. We'll send door codes and a welcome note the day before. Early check-in possible on request if the property isn't turning over the same day.

If the apartment isn't turning over the same day, yes — free of charge. If it is, we can sometimes arrange a paid early/late option. Message us.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before your arrival date. After that, the full amount is non-refundable. If you need to modify your dates, please contact us at hello@beachbase.it and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
We love animals but unfortunately cannot accommodate pets at this time. This helps us keep the apartments and pool area in top condition for all guests.
Li Junchi beach is a 7-minute drive. 11 km of fine sand, Blue Flag certified, family-friendly beaches.
There's a public bus stop near the apartments, but we strongly recommend a rental car — most of the best beaches, viewpoints and restaurants in Gallura aren't on bus routes. Free private parking on site for each apartment.
Yes — bed linen, bath towels and beach towels are all provided. Beds are made on arrival.
Yes — every apartment has a cot ready to set up, and a high chair on request. Just let us know the ages of the children when you book and we'll have everything in the apartment for you.
A small grocery shop and bakery are within walking distance for the basics. Larger supermarkets are 5–10 minutes by car. For dinner out, Gallura Lounge & Bar (steakhouse) is a 5-minute walk; we share a longer list of our favourites in the welcome note.
Yes — fast fibre broadband throughout. Each apartment has a dedicated desk with sea and pool views. Many guests work remotely from here.
